ln our lives, there are bound for moments of exuberance and moments of melancholy, bound for problems and solutions. But one of the toughest predicaments of my life made me almost give up, but I overcame the impediment and through that experience, I learnt that "Tough times never last, but tough people do." And after that, I had became more tenacious in face of life's challenges. Let me tell you all about this momentous experience...
Feeling crestfallen, I took the examination paper from the teacher despondently. All my hopes of getting into a good secondary school were shattered into a million fragments. How could I fail my Mathematics paper? I stared at my inferior results and thought how was I going to face my parents' wrath. After school, I was pusillanimous to return home to be hollered at. I took a seat in the canteen and fought back my tears. But it was no use. Tears rippled down the side of my face. My was totally in a whirl as I blamed myself for being so cretinous. I glared around at the desolate canteen as everyone had gone back to celebrate about their great achievements while I was still sitting in the canteen, woebegone.
Suddenly, the school principal materialised and asked me why I still in school at such a late hour. I hesitated momentarily, then told him the reason for my solitude. He understood me well and brought me to his office to show me a newspaper article for motivation. The newspaper article was about this disable man with no hands or legs and when he fell, it was not easy for him to get up. But he kept trying until he found a way to get up.
Feeling that he was in a worst scenario then me, and he could overcome it, why can't I? So I decided to continue to work hard and study in a more practical way and in the end did well for my PSLE, and got into a good school known as Victoria School.
